Had an amazing experience at Durham Escape Rooms. We showed up with one less person than expected, they were very accommodating in setting us up in another room as the one we booked required four people but we only had three. As it was all our first times doing an escape room they explained everything in a fun and informative way. The staff were very diligent with watching the cameras and seeing what part we were stuck on and slid a hint sheet under the door without us asking which was a great help. Overall just a great experience from top to bottom.
So glad I had my first escape room experience here. The puzzles were engaging, tricky, and the mechanics were thrilling. They did a great job at creating the rooms and I am really impressed by the designers. The employees were kind, professional, and generous with their assistance. I loved the ability to call and ask for two hints, and allowing us to continue calling! 😂
I came here with my colleagues, and we all divided into the different rooms. They had great experiences too. The descriptions seemed pretty accurate to the room as well.
One thing to consider: parking is tight for large groups. It’s in a pretty busy plaza, so keep that in mind when booking for large groups. Luckily there are many nearby places to park and walk from.
This is our family/friends favourtite place to have a fun time out together. The staff are all amazing, and the rooms are all very unique and incredibly fun! So much thought/detail put into every room. So many surprises. We can hardly wait to return for another challenge!
I went here with my girlfriend and her 2 friends to do our first ever escape room for her birthday! And boy were we impressed.
We did the castle themed escape room where you're in a theives guild and you have to steal the crown, it was the coolest thing we've done all year, everything about the room and how it worked was creative and complex. The guy was super cool and very descriptive and had a cool accent. You can tell he loved his job and we will definitely be coming back. We almost came back in for a second room right after😂
Sweet Tooth Sugar shack Family outing, was fun! Brought my kids (11&9) to their first escape room. Harder than we thought, but proud to say we solved it with 1m30s to spare. Can be a little scary for younger, but it was fun and exciting overall. Will be returning for an other family night!

Durham Escape Rooms hosted my first-ever escape experience (The Castle Crown Affair) and I have bragged about it ever since. I've played every room but their newest game (Sweet Tooth Sugar Shack) and I am INCREDIBLY excited to check it off my list.
Durham Escape Rooms also introduced me to my love of tabletop escape games. The Unlock! games, which are just some of the ones they sell here, are the ones I have played the most of. I cannot get over how much they feel like playing an actual room. Pick up some games for home, too!
To make a long story longer, you ought to host your family/friends game nights here. You brains may be buzzing by the time you leave, but the feeling of the puzzles flying through your mind is second to none and if you manage to complete the room just before your time is up... what a rush!

Did the Spy Vs Die for my daughters 14th birthday! It was absolutely a blast. Everyone had so much fun we will definitely be back. Totally gets your mind going. The staff were friendly and amazing, the absolutely added to the experience!
